hey people what’s up hope you’re succeeding and today my unboxing is going to have to do with a debit card reader why am i doing this because generally i was taking payments over the phone and now my work has increased so i needed a i did some research and after that i found out that this company called sum up um it’s actually excellent it’s extremely convenient and i bought the and simply wanted to show you that what comes in the box ideally we’ll go through the unboxing we’ll un-package it and we’ll connect it to our phone and see how it works so with no hold-up let’s get into the video and then let’s have a look at what comes in the box and we go on and open it up all right it’s a very minimalistic design and here we go that is the it’s uh it’s got matte uh plastic on the bottom it’s got this uh charging port i’m thinking and then that’s simply a hole to put put a lanyard and it does offer you some serial numbers state some up over here on off switch and on the top you have the place where you can insert the credit card it’s got a flush keypad and it’s got a cross and backspace and a tick mark just to represent alright so this is the item i think that it looks actually really neat really cool so let’s see what else is available in package package design is quite cool uh so to start with we have the user guide some security info decals the intriguing thing is that with the the costs are quite low and that is why they’ve got a huge client base now as like with paypal they do charge slightly more so with uh i think it’s 1.65 and if you send out someone a qr code i think so it’s 2 and a half percent they’re going to draw from the overall payment but all of the cards are accepted like visa mastercard american reveal union pay and you can see google pay and apple pay too apart from that in package there is a usb micro usb so next what we’ll do is we’ll proceed and we’ll connect our phone and we’ll take a look at how it actually works here i have my iphone so i’m first of all going to reveal you how to pair it and how it in fact works so do you need to download the app on your phone so here i go i have the app and as soon as i open the app um i have couple of alternatives all i require to do is click the more button so i’ll go on and i’ll turn it on so to turn it on you just need to press this button over here and as quickly as you turn it on it flashes couple of lights and after that it states on the top and it gives you the battery indicator also after that it’ll simply take a couple of seconds once it initializes then we can link the phone so what we require to do is we require to go into the payment methods and over here we have card reader it says air tap to setup and you have money payment as well if you require to take cash payment you click that button here and this bluetooth logo will show up and it’ll say that your is you understand it’s it neighbors you can link so you just struck link and i’ll state linking so that’s linked so it’s extremely extremely easy really instinctive absolutely nothing complex and over here there is a sort of a connection or a bluetooth logo if i’ll just bring it near and you can see that it’s revealing that it’s linked once when you’ve done that all you have to do is press the done button and which’s it so uh even if you turn it off or turn it back on uh this will be connected so for argument’s sake if i were to charge uh state i do not understand uh one pound or possibly let’s opt for five pounds and i hit charge and it’ll state card reader over here it gives you 3 choice payment link and cash uh let’s hit the and it states uh reader maintenance part one of three now the reason is because there need to be a software application upgrade so that is why it is doing this this is simply gon na be the very first time it’s not gon na occur always uh it’s really basic and simple i’m thinking and after that you see it says um it’s 5 pounds payment you can either tab or you can insert the card and that’s how it is so it’s offering you the wave logo design or you can place it or and or you can tap it and the payment would be charged so the spinning circle is showing up over here it says to um please tap or insert card and that’s it and this light over here is glowing uh so i’m guessing that as soon as when i touch the card it would just go you know all these lights would uh light up so so as i do not want to do this payment so what i’ll do is i will um hit cancel so men this finishes up my video for this sum up if you people are a sole trader or if you’re doing a small business even you can constantly use this there is another 3g where you understand you do not need a mobile phone to connect it’s got a built-in sim card and i think it’s an excellent alternative if you do not want to fiddle with your phone excessive and i saw that it’s a great choice you can go onto the up site and check it out over there but for me personally i think that this uh this is a convenient gadget you can put it in your pocket if you’re doing you understand if you’re a tradesperson or if you are a small company even you can always keep this and then you understand people have this confidence that they can just touch and and that’s it so um you shouldn’t be having any issues and uh that is it if you have any questions simply leave it in the comment
