hey men what’s up hope you’re doing well and today my unboxing is going to be about a debit card reader why am i doing this since typically i was taking payments over the phone and now my work has actually increased so i required a i did some research and then i discovered that this business called sum up um it’s really great it’s very handy and i purchased the and just wanted to show you that what is available in the box hopefully we’ll go through the unboxing we’ll un-package it and we’ll link it to our phone and see how it works so without any hold-up let’s enter the video and after that let’s have a look at what is available in the box and we go ahead and open it up all right it’s an extremely minimalistic design and here we go that is the it’s uh it’s got matte uh plastic on the bottom it’s got this uh charging port i’m thinking and after that that’s just a hole to put put a lanyard and it does give you some serial numbers say some up over here on off switch and on the top you have the place where you can insert the charge card it’s got a flush keypad and it’s got a cross and backspace and a tick mark simply to represent fine so this is the product i think that it looks really really cool truly cool so let’s see what else comes in the box plan design is quite neat uh so to start with we have the user guide some security information decals the interesting thing is that with the the fees are quite low and that is why they’ve got a substantial client base now as like with paypal they do charge somewhat more so with uh i think it’s 1.65 and if you send out someone a qr code i think so it’s 2 and a half percent they’re going to draw from the total payment but all of the cards are accepted like visa mastercard american reveal union pay and you can see google pay and apple pay as well apart from that in the box there is a usb micro usb so next what we’ll do is we’ll go on and we’ll link our phone and we’ll have a look at how it in fact works here i have my iphone so i’m first of all going to show you how to combine it and how it really works so do you have to download the app on your phone so here i go i have the app and as soon as i open the app um i have number of choices all i require to do is click the more button so i’ll proceed and i’ll turn it on so to turn it on you just have to press this button over here and as soon as you turn it on it flashes couple of lights and after that it states on the top and it gives you the battery sign too after that it’ll simply take a few seconds once it initializes then we can connect the phone so what we require to do is we need to enter into the payment approaches and over here we have card reader it states air tap to setup and you have money payment also if you require to take cash payment you click that button here and this bluetooth logo will show up and it’ll state that your is you know it’s it neighbors you can link so you just struck link and i’ll state linking so that’s linked so it’s really extremely easy very intuitive nothing complicated and over here there is a sort of a connection or a bluetooth logo if i’ll just bring it near and you can see that it’s showing that it’s linked as soon as when you have actually done that all you need to do is push the done button and which’s it so uh even if you turn it off or turn it back on uh this will be connected so for argument’s sake if i were to charge uh state i don’t know uh one pound or perhaps let’s choose five pounds and i hit charge and it’ll say card reader over here it gives you 3 alternative payment link and cash uh let’s hit the and it states uh reader upkeep part one of 3 now the reason is because there should be a software application update so that is why it is doing this this is simply gon na be the first time it’s not gon na take place always uh it’s very easy and uncomplicated i’m guessing and after that you see it says um it’s five pounds payment you can either tab or you can insert the card which’s how it is so it’s offering you the wave logo or you can insert it or and or you can tap it and the payment would be charged so the spinning circle is showing up over here it says to um please tap or insert card which’s it and this light over here is glowing uh so i’m thinking that as soon as when i touch the card it would simply go you understand all these lights would uh illuminate so so as i do not want to do this payment so what i’ll do is i will um hit cancel so guys this wraps up my video for this sum up if you people are a sole trader or if you’re doing a small business even you can always utilize this there is another 3g where you know you don’t need a mobile phone to link it’s got an integrated sim card and i believe it’s a great option if you do not wish to fiddle with your phone excessive and i saw that it’s an excellent choice you can go onto the up site and check it out over there but for me personally i think that this uh this is a convenient device you can put it in your pocket if you’re doing you understand if you’re a tradesperson or if you are a small company even you can constantly keep this and then you understand people have this self-confidence that they
